Who we are

Known Atlas is operated by Nexisia Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 15637501, with its registered office at Flat 52 Windsor House, 4 Fairfield Avenue, Staines-Upon-Thames, TW18 4JW, United Kingdom. Nexisia Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. ICO registration number: [pending].

Questions about this notice or your data: [pending].

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, whether you are an owner, a hunter or both, the categories you are interested in, and, if you choose to tell us, the graders you hold slabs from, the value range of your most valuable slab and a short note.

We also record whether you agreed to receive updates and when, which version of this notice you saw, and the campaign that brought you to us (for example a coin fair link).

To protect the form from abuse we process your IP address briefly for rate limiting, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are human. We do not store your IP address with your waitlist entry.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

To run the waitlist and invite you to the pilot: our legitimate interest in building Known Atlas with the people who asked to be part of it, and taking steps at your request.

To send you occasional updates: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any email or contacting us.

To keep the service secure and prevent abuse: our legitimate interest in protecting the service and its users.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Known Atlas: our hosting provider, Cloudflare (human verification) and our email provider when we write to you. They process it only on our instructions.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. [To be confirmed with counsel.]

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist entry until the pilot opens to you and for up to 24 months after that, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever is sooner. We keep a record of your consent for as long as we send you updates and for a short period afterwards, to show we had it. [Retention period to be confirmed with counsel.]

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent to updates at any time. Contact us at [pending].

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice we will update the version and date above, and tell you before any change that affects how we use data you have already given us.
